Almost month since I joined Scripting team.
It actually consists of two teams, EP and non-EP. This is due to EP has their own process to handling their script request (actually DS has started this as well), hence there are two different process flows when raising script request.
The day I joined this team, one of my ex-boss called up a short meeting, and he told us his experience when he was in scripting team (according o him, it is a relaxing life), and I thought that I'm ready for that...
The first week I joined the team, after setting up my desk (smaller than AppCompat, I miss CBJ W2320-1L-047~), we approached Wendy on how to conduct Acceptance Testing (Until now I still wondering if this is a good idea, her smile...). And started our first testing not "long" later (11 April 2008 T.T). During the first testing I encountered SCCM Deployment issue, followed the process here, I submitted a template to report this and Xavier forward this issue to SD team.
The following day, I received an email informing to retest the application, I retested, failed. I thought it's caused by the late arrival of policy thing. Thus, another half day spent in the process of waiting, retesting, waiting and retesting...Finally, I replied to the SD team engineer and ask for his assistance. He was so surprised that the issue is not resolved, then he update again the DP and ask me to retest (without any investigation)...so another day gone. Lucky I'm reading some articles on VBScript while I was waiting...
Stupid engineer, after received reminders (got 's' here!!!), I started to question this mercedes guy's brain, so I started to work on the issue myself, within 10 minutes, I find out the root cause, the command line in the server caused the problem (I'm so~ brilliant!!!). I should've did this earlier...And the issue resolved...finally...SD team...haiz...I miss Nicholas and Kah Fei, but tied to the process thing, they can't help me, else bosses will come to them...
Two new guys (1 malay guy and 1 chinese female) joined us...then we started our scripting training (as planned on the 1st week, and become reality two weeks later). And we joined the technical forum, people discussing on scripting skills, it's fun! The only fun since I join the team...
Continue testing...Now, this is the 4th week...
Unlike AppCompat, Scripting team uses a tools called Script Informer, to inform the scripter if any script assigned to them, until now (the 4th week), our name is still not appear in the tool. Haiz, if in AppCompat...I still remember Nicholas's name was removed just after a few days he left AppCompat...How efficient~
Boss, this is not relaxing, totally boring if I didn't visiting MSDN every hour!
In the month of April, I heard a new song:
如今這般的未來 我是否曾想像過?
如今這般的未來 你是否曾想像過?
如今這般的未來 我是否曾期待過?
如今這般的未來 你是否曾期待過?
English:
Did I imagine this kind of future?
Did you imagine this kind of future?
Did I wish for this kind of future?
Did you wish for this kind of future?
->Pick from "Mirrorcle World", sing and lyric by Hamasaki Ayumi
My point exactly, she point it out, sadly...

Shining Star - Riko Narumi (成海璃子)
Have you watch/heard of a famous japanese drama "1 Litre of Tears"?
Then you might notice this girl before, Riko Narumi (成海璃子) who acted as the main actress' younger sister in the drama.
She became an actor since the age of 5 (she was born in 1992), and took a important character in the movie "Trap (圈套)" in the year of 2000.
She might not very pretty but she possesses great talent in acting which make her charming and shining.
Wish she would come out more and more nice drama/movie...Gambateh!!!

First deal with Windows 98SE
Few days ago, I recalled there was a DOS game during my promary school time, it was such a nice game to me and I've not yet conquered it. At the moment I was very eager to get the game back to '"gao dim" it.
Hence, I googled for it and downloaded it, with the emulator (emulator for DOS game), however, I failed to play, googled for solution, applied (repeated n times) and finally...I still cannot play it.
Another idea flashed in my mind, how about I setup a Windows 98 virtual machine?
At once, I googled and downloaded Windows 98 SE Chinese Edition (that was a chinese game, no need to setup the Chinese Star or NjStar to play it ^^) and the boot disc as well.
This is the first time I setup Windows 98 machine. Most of the online guides come with the instruction on how to setup using Windows 98 CD, but since I do not have the CD, I need to go for other ways.
Finally I find out the way.
FDisk -> Create Partition -> Run the WIndows Setup -> Done :D
Game...I'm jumping over to you~
Failed again, same as the emulator T.T
Suddenly, the game is not such attractive to me...

Disappointed...
First weekend back to normal shift, went out to Sg Wang to get my new shoes...
After lunch in Kim Gary, went to BTS (note: Not "Back to Seremban" but "Berjaya Times Square" :P) for a movie, Three Kingdoms...
"Three Kingdoms" is a famous story (?) about the chaos times (184-280 ? ? ?) at the end of Dinasty Han, and reunited in Dinasti Jin.
Back to the movie, it's a story about Zhao Yun, Zi Long (?) (act by Andy Lau). Zhao Yun is a general from Liu Bei, Xuan De.
The story is kind of boring, those who expect to see historical element inside, please ignore this movie, boring story, boring war, less "pretty" fighting scene...
Quite tiring sitting inside...
Totally no idea why people produce this...
Writing a play is definitely harder than writing a novel...(Plenty of nice online novel about Three Kingdoms!)
Guys, if you plan to watch it, my advice is, it don't even worth to download!

Goodbye my friends
I was officially transferred to the scripting team yesterday.
Different from my expectation, initially I thought I will still remain my seat at Wisma 4 (current seat), somehow it's exactly different, I moved to Wisma 1 2nd floor, sitting on Hashim previous seat.
Here, I am using CRT monitors which make me always do not have enough space to put my stuff, even a newspaper, might be due to I put all my machine (CPUs + monitors) on my desk.
Well I would have a new life, for 3 months...
Goodbye AppCompat, since I no longer fight with you guys in the GI-NG project, wish you all the best...Please feel free to buss me...I will always be here in case you guys need me...
If we have another chance to work together again, you will find a brand new guy, with developed skillset and knowledge.
Goodbye...
PS: I think we would always have lunch together...gua...
