Annual Dinner 2008
For the theme this year, I spent again, for a black tie, a white shirt, and a white belt (All together RM 123, paid by credit card, for testing). For the pant, I wore a G2000 white (consider white) pant that I bought before '08 Chinese New Year.
Woke up early in the morning, took bath, went out for a hair cut, which spent me an hour for a...an ordinary hair style.
Reached home at 2.15 pm, ironed clothes, took bath and start picked the best clothes for the dinner.
One hour later, everything is ready, and I received call from Kong Siang, okay, time to go out.
Reached Conventional Center at about 5.15 pm and Wan Zhung is already there, thanks to him, for set up my tie for me, I'm perfect (just a bit slim :$)!
Another hour passed, but none of my teammate (appcompat & scripting) arrived. And soon the door opened and everyone rushed for tables...and we got three for everyone.
However, due to their late, we have to give up one table, and sorry to Aida and her boyfriend, we couldn't make the reservation for her.
Different from last year, the dinner was held in a bright hall (we had all the lights on), and thank you, I could thus turn off my camera flash and took more pictures (144 of them).
Wow, our latecomers were pretty, handsome, grace and cute (especially for our dear Jason for his young appearance, no offense :P). A long photo session to celebrate this, MC and presenters were ignored.
The food is so so, it's a chinese food (halal of course), compared to last year, yesterday I was very worry and careful while having the dinner, the yellow, red and dark color food (curry) scared me, I was in white, and a small accident might ruin everything! Did the organizer consider this?
Short dinner, long performances and only one or two were fascinating, and the others were just wasting our time, I think everyone would prefer to cancel the performances and start the lucky draw sessions.
It was an unlucky event, none of us had our lucky number announced, this happened the first time, and this would be the last event from Shell.
After the dinner and a quick photo session, we went to have our second round, so sad that market place is no longer a good choice for us, so we went for a mamak shop. Spent another hour there before we went back.
Well, I enjoyed myself yesterday, I can see my smile on every photo I took, a happy ending for the journey of my first Shell life...
Next week I'll be part of EDS...
How I wish...

Away Day 2008 ~ Closing ~
The smoky environment outside the office, and the gloomy atmosphere in the office, make everyone very quiet...even though there is a few scripters came in early today...
That was the last away day, before we move to EDS...
What EDS has?
No. 1: Annual dinner at KLCC (Stop expecting as this is No. 1)
No. 2: Charity trip (can it be considered a trip?)
No. 3: Treasure hunt (From Cyberjaya to Penang, let's see how many people join after the increasement of petrol price)
Well, I'm sure I enjoyed myself during the away day, maybe something happen bring down my mood but it lasts no longer than a second...
Anyway I still can enjoy myself all the time!
Who set the rule that I can only enjoy myself in Away Day?
Let's continue "away day" mood in the office ^^
Goodbye...Cherating Club Med...and pretty G.O(s)

Away Day 2008 ~ Day 3 ~
So bad that we need to check out at 10am...
Quickly took a bath and pack all the stuff, we went out to the Reception counter to check out. After put the luggage at Wan Zhung's car, we went for drinks and photos, while waiting for lunch.
After the lunch we departed...went back to the crowded city...
No more free drinks, every thing needs to pay...
No more natural sound, all we hear later will be noise from car, people, animals, and sometimes unplesant music...
No more girls in bikini...
Left only Work...Movie...Traffic...
I want to jump~~~
Away Day 2008 ~ Day 2 ~
After grabbing some unforgetable memories, and won the prize (Shell loves Jusco voucher a lot), we went back to take bath and went for lunch.
After the another round of unlucky lucky draw, we went for boat rowing and sailing. Sadly the sailing had been fully booked, so we tried the boat rowing.
After the rowing, we thought of something nice...we digged a big hole and argued who should be in...Wan Zhung is damn nice, he volunteered to be buried. After few minutes, he became a pretty and hot mermaid, after took a few pics, we went back...
Again, swimming pool before dinner :P
We have another show for our white party, Wing (one of our fellow lunch pack suppliers) had a great performance on the stage, so funny ^^
After the show, we all went out to the field by the beach, for another lucky draw. Lucky our lucky boy Nicholas had another electrical stuff - portable DVD player to show his luck. Had a long chat with a GO, Gloria, our telematch helper, and I learned a lot of their job, quite tiring. And tried some other (alcohol) drinks, damn delicious ^^
Everyone went back to rooms after the "lucky" draw, Sarah, Seaw Wei, Kah Fei, Khai Chen, Kong Siang came to our (Soo Beng and Chin Dy were my roommate) room and stay till 2 o'clock. We chat (please let me know if you know what's the past tense for 'chat' :P), played PSP, watched football match at the night before everyone cabut. A nice and freezing sleep till morning~~~
I think I had dream bout the drinks... ~blur~

Away Day 2008 ~ Day 1 ~
Woke up a bit later than usual at 7am, after took bath, "make up", watch one episode of drama, I walked out to the roundabout at the entrance of Cyberia, where we (Nicholas and I) planned to meet Cheng Sze here at 8.15am.
She came late, at 8.40, we were fetched to South City plaza, and Wan Zhung was waiting to drive us to Cherating from there. Along the "adventure" to South City, after one month in US, I bet her car had its rest for too long, till the whole car was singing loudly.
After we met with Wan Zhung, we went to Dai Ka Lok (大家乐) to meet Chin Dy. After the breakfast, our next destination is a petrol station near Gombak, to meet another two cars (Aida and Aqmar).
Next, We depart to Cherating...
After clean ourselves at Cherating, we went to the bar for drinks, chatting there, after registered for telematch, we went to another beach for sailing and boat rowing. Unfortunately, both of them were fully applied by others, thus we went for volleyball.
After the basketball, we went to the bar (nearby the beach) for drinks. Walao eh, the girl was so~ sexy, I can't stop myself from starring at her breast...:$
After that we fight for the last train to go back...
Before we have our dinner, we use the remaining time to jump into the swimming pool...
After the dinner, we had a show, our dear Chew is damn kawai in the show!!!
After that we had ourselves some drinks (alcohols ^^) while waiting our names to be called (for the lucky draw)...well...sarah, yoon faan and chee lung's name were called but only sarah was there...haiz...what a waste! Jusco voucher is better than nothing!!!

Away Day 2008 ~ Prelude ~
It is consisted of a T-shirt, a bag and a iPod shuffle.
Here are some pics for the gift:
Luckily I don't buy the Meizu during PC fair...wakaka :D
Our last Shell EPM dinner
This year, we were having our EPM dinner at Beach Hut - Palace Beach & Spa, having a BBQ dinner.
MC by a new Shell boy named Donathan (I hope I spelled it correctly), quick introduction and sppech from Andrew Wong before we started our first round (food :P).
Compared to our previous EPM dinner at IOI Resort, this time, the food was not that nice, the lamb will kill you if you don't cut it into tiny. Rojak was terrible, but cakes were quite good.
When coming to the most important part of the dinner, lucky draw, everyone was excited, and expecting. This year, obviously they had reduce their cost on the prizes, the grand prize was Wii, which worth RM 1.5 K. If not mistaken, last year we had iPod Nano, Panasonic Lumix, plasma TV and lots of great prizes. Think in the good way, they might invest the money into the Away Day or Annual Dinner lucky draw (cheating myself :P).
Well, most of AppCompat members are lucky except out pretty WL and handsome Chin Dy, Seaw Wei, Khai Chen and boss, Terence. Richard got himself a PSP, and I got a petrol voucher, I think we are considered lucky compared to the others...haha...
Expecting more in Away Day and Annual Dinner...
Also, god bless to those who get food poisoning...
Who ask you to bite oyster (sorry that if it is not by oyster) :P

Scripting team: Movie + Dinner
Yesterday night, scripting team has organized an event, we went to the Garden for a movie, "INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL". The movie is only so so, not much exciting part, a few funny scene, and with a expected ending, 5 of 10 should consider a high rate for it. The only thing I would never forget is, the hall is damn damn freezing.
After the movie, we have our dinner at Chilly, Mid Valley. This was the first time I visit this shop. Waiting outside the shop for around 15 minutes (I guess not enough seat for 23 of us, I thought this should have reserved...), we went to a room, sitting beside Alex and I had myself a set of Mushroom Jacks, nice chicken! Guys, if you haven't been there, you might try this.
The main course made me too full, after two scoops of desert, I gave up...
Find out one of my colleague will need to go back to office, haha, I followed his car to go back to Cyberia, no need to tumpang to sleep at Soo Beng's house.
Sadly I don't own a camera, else I should have some pics for this blog...

Book Fair 2008 in KLCC
Before my visit, I googled it and found a blog that posted some negative comments, however, because of the blog title and other contents (a gay blog), I don't really care about his comment.
Friday night, my colleagues and I had a BBQ, with the attendance of boss (Hairan, is that hard to get boss attended before married? Kidding :P Please ignore~). Hot & fun at the night, managed to reach home safely, thanks Khai Chen.
And the next day, wake up late at 9am and reach KLCC at around 12, thanks to Rapid KL.
Meet my sis at foodcourt in convention centre, which cost my RM 11, I should have go Genki Sushi, at least I would feel it worth the price...
Match the comment in the blog, this so called international book fair did not have as much books as I thought, however at least I managed to find the book I want, it is a 史记 ? (pronounce as Shi Ji) and get another book about China history. Planned to get some novels that I read online for collection, sadly, cannot get them...
End up get only two books, less than RM50 (plan to spend more as I can claim from income tax...no luck)
Hope the coming book fest will be better~
